BRIDGEHAMPTON, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Hamptons Green Alliance (www.hamptonsgreenalliance.org), a consortium of local building professionals committed to green initiatives in building, will hold its first annual event on the subject on Tuesday, November 18 at the Citibank Financial Center, 180 West Montauk Highway, Hamptons Bays, NY. The sponsor of the event is Citibank Commercial Banking, whose Vice President of Environmental Affairs will address ways in which green projects can be financed in today’s difficult economic climate.

Val Smith, Vice President, Citi Environmental Affairs and Frank Dalene, President and CEO of Telemark and co-founder of Hamptons Green Alliance will be the primary speakers at the event. Other participants are expected to be on hand from LI Green and LI Renewable Energy.

Ms. Smith will address the financing of green projects. Citi is strongly committed to the environment. According to the company’s website (www.citigroup.com/citi/environment/) the company views “sustainability issues from both a risk and an opportunity perspective.” Ms. Smith is expected to talk about ways in which green building projects can be financed during these difficult economic times.

Mr. Dalene will address local green building initiatives and opportunities and how the formation of the Hamptons Green Alliance is enabling a network of expertise to be shared across a variety of disciplines in the building field.

The seminar will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and reservations must be made (seating is limited) directly with Gabrielle Corsetti, business relationship manager, Gabrielle.corsetti@citi.com. It is believed this is the first such seminar of its type to be held in the tri-state area.
